South Luangwa National Park is in the east Zambia's Luangwa River valley. It's known for its abundant wildlife; the river is often crowded with hippos. The woodland savannah is the home of many bird species. It was initially founded as Luangwa Game Park in 1904, then a game reserve in 1938 and became a national park in 1972. Midmorning arrival at Mfuwe International Airport, then transferred for our overnight accommodation. Late afternoon we go for a night game drive starting around 4pm and ending at 8pm. It gives us 2 hours of daylight and 2 hours of night life, when cats are active.
A full-day game drive in South Luangwa National Park delivers exceptional wildlife viewing in one of Africa's finest safari areas. Its warm hospitality, bustling markets, and colonial charm make Livingstone an ideal destination.
Visiting Victoria Falls and enjoying walking safaris in Livingstone offers an unforgettable blend of adventure and wildlife. Our crew will welcome you at Victoria Falls International Airport and transfer you to your overnight accommodation. The Tour Leader will brief you on the tour program. Victoria Falls is also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya which means "The Smoke That Thunders" in the local Tonga language, highlighting the powerful mist and noise created by the falls. Late afternoon we depart for the Zambezi Sunset dinner cruise.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the largest and most famous waterfall systems in the world. The area around Victoria Falls is known for various adrenaline-pumping activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping and many more. After breakfast we visit the Victoria Falls for a guided tour of the falls, then the afternoon is free for optional activities. Enjoy the Boma Dinner and drum beat in the evening.
Chobe National Park is renowned for its high population of migratory elephants. A sunset boat cruise is a not-to-miss activity here. The Chobe River provides a very broad habitat for birdlife and it is possible to see many beautiful species. Today we leave Victoria Falls in the morning after breakfast for Chobe National Park, Botswana, for a 3-hour afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River.
Experience abundant wildlife in Chobe National Park. Africa's largest concentration of elephants, buffaloes, impalas, legendary fish eagles, and more birdlife along the river. We continue searching for wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives meandering along the banks of the Chobe River. This day is set aside to explore Chobe National Park.
After breakfast we transfer to Kasane International Airport to take a flight straight to an Okavango Delta airstrip near our camp. Upon arrival, we check in to the rooms, then have lunch while waiting for our afternoon mokoro ride in the Okavango channels, which meander as we see water lilies and other plants. After the mokoro ride, return to camp for dinner.
Morning nature walk safaris with an armed guide, experiencing nature, learning a lot of things small to big, animal spoors, droppings, plants and many more. In the afternoon we do a boating cruise safari in the Okavango Delta.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Maun International Airport to take your flight home or to your next destination. This marks the end of your 12-day safari with us.
